Education Roundtable – “Leadership and Risk Intelligence”

September 7, 2017, 6-9PM

Farkas Hall, Room 203, Harvard University

While technology plays a big part in protecting an organization’s information assets, research has long demonstrated that a more significant factor is the awareness and engagement of the leadership and the user community. In today’s complex and volatile cyber environment, the most successful leaders make swift, informed decisions based on context-driven risk intelligence.

  • How well do you understand the risks facing your organization?
  • What risks are you acting on?
  • What risks are you accepting?
  • What trade-offs are you making in managing risk?

Join us for an engaging and educational panel discussion on “Leadership and  Risk Intelligence” featuring:

wilsonLarry Wilson, Chief Information Security Officer of the University of Massachusetts system (President’s Office). In this role, Larry is responsible for developing, implementing and overseeing compliance with the UMASS Information Security Policy and Written Information Security Plan (WISP).  Prior to joining UMASS, Larry was the Vice President, Network Security Manager at State Street where he was responsible for selecting, implementing and overseeing an engineering staff who managed network security technologies / tools including vulnerability scanning, network firewalls, intrusion detection, remote access technologies, security event management tools, etc.
