SIM Boston was a proud sponsor of the 2018 Girls STEM Summit for the third year in a row. The one-day annual event, hosted by Jr. Tech, a SIM Boston outreach partner, was held at Regis College in Weston on Sunday, April 8th and attracted more than 250 girls statewide!
Girls STEM Summit is a full day STEM Summit for 8th – 12th grade girls who are interested in pursuing STEM career paths. The event features female STEM professionals and educators, highlights emerging and existing STEM careers and explores post secondary STEM education and High School requirements.
Pat Randall, Margot Carleton, Jennifer Lynch and Kate Carroll attended the expo and fielded questions from the 8th – 12th grade girls during the expo held just after lunch. It was a very busy hour but one filled with a buzz of activity and interaction between the girls seeking knowledge and all of the sponsoring companies in attendance. It was an exciting day of STEM learning for all!
