Latino STEM Alliance: Annual Robotics Competition and Family Science Festival

image-(2)-copyLatino STEM Alliance is once again preparing for our Annual Robotics Competition and Family Science Festival to be held on May 20. As you know, events like this are only successful because of volunteers like you.  We are hoping that you will join us once again this year as a volunteer at our event.  This year’s event will be our biggest yet!  We are expecting double the amount of teams competing this year compared to last. In addition, we are expecting a minimum of 20 STEM related exhibitors that will be conducting STEM related activities for students and the general public.  We have many volunteer roles available; the most critical being judges for the robotics competition.

Available Volunteer Roles:

  • Competition Judges (Up to 20 needed); Starting at 9:30 on day of competition
  • Registration Desk (Multiple shifts available)
  • Friday night set-up (6-8 P.M.)
  • Photographer
  • Videographer
  • Lunch Room Set-up/Monitor
  • Social Media Manager
  • Exhibitor Manager
  • Saturday Breakdown

If you are interested in volunteering at this year’s competition, please confirm via email which role you are interested and complete the attached volunteer interest form.  If you have any questions, please let me know.  I will follow-up next week with additional details for those interested in volunteering.

Thank you for your continued support in inspiring the next generation of future STEM professionals!
